Cordyceps sinensis

Aloha Medicinals is a modern American biotechnology company specializing in the production of Cordyceps by laboratory cultivation. We are the world's leader in Cordyceps research and development, and by far the largest producer of USDA Certified Organic Cordyceps in the world today.

Wild Cordyceps Collecting Expedition

In May and June of 2006, Aloha Medicinals conducted one of the most comprehensive scientific research expeditions ever undertaken in the mountains of Tibet. We studied Cordyceps in their native habitat. Working with the local nomad people, we collected several hundred Cordyceps specimens directly from nature. We brought those specimens back to the lab, and developed entirely new methods of single-spore isolation techniques, which has resulted in the isolation of a large number of new strains. Bringing the latest 21st century American biotechnology techniques to this field has resulted in a quantum leap in Cordyceps cultivation, reducing the cost and increasing the quality of cultivated Cordyceps.

These newly captured Aloha Medicinals strains have been fully verified by DNA analysis through the United States National Institute of Health to be true Cordyceps sinensis, and not some 'closely related' anamorph such as the Cephalosporum or Paecilyomyces strains being grown by other cultivators. These related anamorphs (such as CS-4) have been used as substitutes for wild Cordyceps by producers who do not have the technology to emulate wild growing conditions. Because these anamorphs do not match the DNA profile of wild Cordyceps, they cannot match the quality or the clinical results seen with the native fungi.

Thanks to the breakthroughs in Cordyceps cultivation pioneered by Aloha Medicinals, all this has changed.

Aloha Medicinals is now supplying the only real, fully 100% certified cultivated Cordyceps sinensis in the world. Every lot is fully guaranteed to be true Cordyceps, with the official DNA sequence provided with each lot to certify authenticity. Each lot of material produced by Aloha Medicinals is independently certified by third party labs for genetic purity, chemical analysis, freedom from heavy metal contamination, freedom from yeast, mold and bacterial contamination. All our Cordyceps products are 100% Certified Organic under United States Department of Agriculture NOP regulations. Aloha Medicinals is a registered manufacturer with the United States FDA. We are so confident of the quality of our Cordyceps that we stand behind all our products with a 100% money-back guarantee.

Why risk your health or your company’s reputation by using inferior Cordyceps substitutes when Aloha Medicinals True Cordyceps™ is now available?

In the course of developing these new strains of Cordyceps from Tibet, we have made some fantastic discoveries: Aloha Medicinals Drug Research division is currently examining a newly discovered class of antiviral compounds isolated from these recently identified Cordyceps strains. The goal of this research is to produce a new generation of effective, non-toxic antiviral medications for use in treating viral infections including HIV and Hepatitis.

Aloha Medicinals currently supplies a very successful product for this use which is currently being distributed by pharmaceutical companies in 18 African countries. The product, IA 247 has become popular with rural doctors in Africa where Western anti-retroviral drugs are not practical due to their cost and toxicity. With the discovery of these new antiviral compounds of Cordyceps, we are confidant of seeing major changes in the way viral infections will be treated in the future.

ALOHA MEDICINALS INC. IN CURRENT LITERATURE

In recognition of Aloha Medicinals' continuing expertise in the field of Cordyceps cultivation, we have been written about in a number of books and magazines. Almost every month somewhere in the world there is an article written about us and our breakthroughs in this field. A couple of the latest articles can be seen in the current edition of several magazines, including "Medicinal Value of the Caterpillar Fungi species of the Genus Cordyceps (Fr.) Link (Ascomycetes). A Review." found in the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms Volume 10, number 3, 2008 pages 219 - 234 (click here to read the PDF). Another article is in the August 2008 issue of Innovations in Food Technology magazine titled "Cutting edge Technology Advances the Best of Traditional Medicine" (click here to read the PDF).

Another good source of information on the latest breakthroughs in the area of Cordyceps are the books by Dr. Georges Halpern, MD, PhD. Dr. Halpern is a professor of Immunology and Pharmacology, and one of the world's leading authorities on Cordyceps.. Dr Halpern's latest book is "Healing Mushrooms" which is available from Square 1 publishing or through Amazon.com or your local Borders book store. CONTROLLING COSTS WITH TRUE CORDYCEPS™

Wild Cordyceps sinensis is an endangered species and is expected to become extinct within the next one hundred years.
